our mission

preserve the child

documenting the lives and homicides of RI children whose individual stories have been lost

REMEMBER. DONT FORGET and RETURN TO THE RECORD

recover and preserve the individual stories of Rhode Island children whose lives and homicides have been obscured, conflated, or forgotten over time. By returning to the surviving documentary record, we reconstruct each story with care, preserve its contradictions, and distinguish what is documented from what remains unknown, so every child can be known as more than the circumstances of their death.

support Christine's story

Christine Cole had turned ten only two days before she left her Pawtucket home to run an ordinary errand.

She was a daughter, sister, classmate and friend.

Her life deserves to be remembered as more than the mystery of what happened next.

Your support helps preserve the record of her life and ensures her story is told.
